12/27/2017 1:04:00 PM North Branch newest municipal, off-sale will be open on New Year's Day
The City of North Branch announces the opening of its second municipal liquor store. Located next to County Market, on the west side of the freeway, this store is smaller in inventory and square feet than the city’s original off-sale, north of Hwy 95 behind the Oak Inn and Holiday station, on the east side of 35. Store Manager Deb Dahlberg said the new store is about one third the size of the east side store, and selection was based on customer preferences tracked in the original merchandise offerings. Dahlberg said the items are “top sellers from the past year” in the original store.
A grand opening is tentatively being set for sometime in January. The wine, beer and spirits tastings series will resume around WinterFest time. “The orignal store will be there as well, with the wide selection in every department that we have maintained and expanded... in the past 17 years in that location.”
Tastings will take place with some select vendors on-site at the new location Friday December 29.
The new store is also going to be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. New Year’s Day. The original site will be CLOSED New Years Day.
