Hennepin Theatre Trust announced
The Hennepin Theatre Trust has awarded several Chisago Lakes High School musical performers with honors in the annual Spotlight on Education program. The trust formally recognizes high school theatrical efforts and provides an opportunity for students to participate with fellow award winners, in a special live show on a professional stage in the Twin Cities as well.
Rachel Lexvold, Director for Chisago Lakes’ fall musical (cast photo above) “Thoroughly Modern Millie,” said the overall show won an Honorable Mention. “They put in countless hours at the theatre and at home, their passion really did shine through,” Lexvold added.
The production also earned Outstanding Vocal Performance by an Ensemble. The Technical Crew won an Outstanding nod, the Technical Team an Honorable Mention.
Outstanding Performance in a Leading Role was awarded to Lydia Trandahl for her portrayal as Millie.
There were three Outstanding Performance in Supporting Role Awards presented to: Erin Myhran as Miss Dorothy Brown, to Faith Freeman as Mrs. Meers, and to Summer Carleton as Muzzy Von Hossemere.
