Vikes hold off Duluth East; heading to section semi's

North Branch was at the brink of elimination. Their proverbial back was against the wall. Their season was one set away from being over. Yet, they are still moving on after a resilient showing against Duluth East.
The Greyhounds, ranked 11th in the section, had already upset Chisago Lakes in the first round, and North Branch seemed to be next on the docket. East won the first set 25-23, and then absolutely crushed North Branch 25-12 in the second set, leaving the Vikings reeling and demoralized. But, a turnaround in the third set sparked a Viking comeback.
Behind 31 kills from Courtney Selbitschka, the Vikings ran off the next three sets, winning 25-22, 25-15 and 15-13 in the deciding set.
