St. Michael-Albertville 13, Chisago Lakes 10 (9 innings)

Really starting to feel the burn
Well, it had been all peaches and cream so far throughout the introduction and the orientation, but late in my first week and into the second week, I really have started to feel the burn of the workouts, but that’s what we’re all here for, right?

'Cats mercy-rule Vikings before shootout with defending section champs
Chisago Lakes 14, North Branch 0
Cassie Lynch and Trinity Junker combined to throw a no-hitter as the Wildcats shut out the Vikings 14-0 in the season opener.  The Wildcats put the game away early with an eight-run second inning.  They pounded out 12 hits. Including six doubles and a triple, and stole seven bases.  And the Wildcats made just one error.  “You never know what to expect in the first game,” said Wildcat head coach Brenda Carlson, “especially with only four returning players.  Our pitchers were unbelievable.  We played almost errorless ball and all but one starter got a hit in the game.”  The game was played at North Branch High School Tuesday, April 4.
