Lakes Area Police wrote a number of overnight street parking offense warning tickets during the week.  Readers are reminded to not park vehicles on Chisago City or Lindstrom streets overnight, until restrictions are lifted in April.

Arson suspects are 12 years old
There have been arrests made in connection with a fire that destroyed an old creamery building in Rush City, November 12.  Firefighters were dispatched around mid-day.

Lakes Area Police assisted November 7 for a domestic disturbance call that began as a medical dispatch.  The EMS had been sent to a home on Busch Avenue in Center City about 11:30 p.m. and emergency responders reported to dispatch there may be a firearm involved. When the sheriff patrol deputy arrived, Lakes Area cleared and the scene was secured.

Lakes Area Police took a stray terrier type dog, male with tan collar and no tags, to the Northwoods Humane Society November 4.  Dog was found in Chisago City.
November 4 there was a report that a well digger came upon bones in a property on Forest Blvd. Deputies responded and transported the bones to doctors at Wyoming Fairview who stated the size is not conducive to human remains and were most likely large animal bones.

The area law enforcement agencies participated in traffic law enforcement saturation last week. You would have noticed a presence of squads on Highway 8 especially.  The saturations are made possible by outside funding for overtime and mutual aid to local departments.
