May 21 the Apostolic Church of Harris reported a shed was entered and a riding lawnmower is missing.  Entry to the shed was possible from a set of keys,  the pastor had reported as stolen in March from his office. The mower is a Toro zero-turn model.

Also Sunday, May 21 the sheriff’s patrol was sent to the Stacy convenience store that is vacant near the freeway, to find young juveniles breaking windows.  The deputy reported a dozen windows in the old car wash portion broken.  Juvenile suspects were taken to parents and deputy advised to clean up the glass immediatley.

North Branch Police report a residential burglary at an Oakview Circle address May 21.  Also, the sheriff’s department Project Lifesaver specialist-deputy was dispatched to electronically locate a missing North Branch resident in the vicinity of Wellington Drive about 3:30 p.m. The subject was wearing one of the Project Lifesaver tracking devices.

May 19 a fire reported in an upstairs room at a house on Old Towne Road in Chisago City, about 7:20 p.m.  The firefighters had to return later when it re-ignited. Lakes Area Police received a complaint a couple days about “abandoned dogs” left behind by occupants who were forced to find shelter elsewhere, and animals’ welfare was of concern to neighbors.  

May 18 counterfeit $20 bill was discovered at the Fairview Pharmacy, Lakes Area Police were called.

May 17 Wyoming Police were aided by Lakes Area during an incident reported about 11 p.m. on Emerald Avenue,  involving calming an intoxicated male suspect.

Also, a bear was struck and killed by a vehicle(s) at Pioneer Road and Hwy. 8 about 10:25 p.m.  A permit to keep the bear was issued to one motorist.  One vehicle was forced off the road avoiding the animal, but no injury reported.

May 17 a report of a new telephone scam where caller requests personal information (social security number, etc.) for “forgiveness of student loan debt.”  This call went to a Lent Twsp. resident  and the number to watch for on your caller I.D. is 707-663-3009.

May 16 a fight reported at Chisago Lakes Middle School.

Theft of metal from a site in Sunrise.  

Also, a poodle bite at an address in Taylors Falls on Cedar Court reported.  Bite happened on dog’s home property and does not qualify for “dangerous dog” classification  process. Dog vaccination record was provided.

May 15 the Paradise Park pavilion was damaged by vandals.
