Robert J. Heling
Robert J. Heling, 72, Little Swan, MN., died Friday, May 3, 2013 at home with his family by his side.
He was born November 3, 1940 to John and Elsie (Christenson) Heling in Willmar, MN. He was employed as a painter-body man for the City of Minneapolis, retiring after 32 years of service. He had been a resident of Little Swan for the past 18 years, coming from Chisago City, MN. Robert was a member of the NRA, a former member of Knights of Columbus, several tractor clubs throughout the area, and the MSRA for many years. Robert enjoyed motorcycling, snowmobiling, farming, and his latest passion was tractors. He would travel all over to many area to tractor shows. He loved his tractors and farming.
Robert is survived by his wife, Romonia Heling, Little Swan; his children, Troy Heling, Rush City, MN, Tracy Heling, Eveleth, MN, Stacy Eastman, Deer Park, WI, and step-daughters—Candy (Gino) Pehota, Sarasota, FL, and Connie Larson, Melbourne, FL; two sisters, Marilyn (Dave) Spray, Texas, and Dena (Ray) Sindelir, of the state of Virginia; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons Joshua Heling and Edward Pehota Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rush City, MN. The Rev. Laurie O’Shea will officiate.
