Gail  Tromburg

Gail Norma Tromburg (Gail Hansen), age 54, passed away peacefully at her home in Littleton, Colorado.

She is survived by her son Troy Tromburg, brother John, sister Jean, nephew Charlie, niece Amelia and three great nephews and two great nieces and her dog Gracie. Preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Jay Tromburg of Center City, and her parents Horace and Ruth Hansen, of North Oaks.

Gail touched the hearts of everyone she came into contact with.  Gail made it a point to. It was her mission to make other people feel welcome and good wherever she went, and with her beautiful smile and sparkling eyes she easily connected. Her generosity, genuine compassion and care for others was paired with a unique combination of carefree spontaneity, imagination, spunk, creativity and a fierce independence -- a combination which occasionally lent itself to something she'd say, or do that would cause laughter all around the room, at times at her own expense.

Gail grabbed life by the horns and lived it. She was well acquainted with suffering but never allowed it to get the best of her. Rather, she would walk (or hobble!) right over to whatever or whomever was stopping her and be on her way to the next thing that she “could” do. This kind of resolve is what eventually brought her to Colorado after the tragic loss of her husband Jay Tromburg and tremendous health issues. She didn't really know anyone. Gail simply wanted a fresh start in life and went-for-it, in a place she loved so much -- a place she first discovered with the love of her life while on the back of their motorcycle.  In the last two years Gail was the happiest  we had ever seen her.  She was at the highest peak.

These are just some of the things that made Gail very special to us. She was a woman who could only love and she loved with more kindness and forgiveness than anyone will ever know.

God has a way of bringing people around us who will touch our lives in ways we will never know until much further down the road. Gail was one the rarest of gems never to be repeated.  Gail left memories with so many and she will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Gail’s life will commence at a later date.
