3/30/2018 2:32:00 PM Easter is my favorite day of the year, still time to get in the guide
This weekend is the most important religious weekend of the year. This is the weekend that Jesus rose from the dead. It is the basis of many types of religions and churches. Easter Sunday is a day for celebration and praise. Is it a day to meet with the rest of the family and eat sweets? Of course! But speaking as one who believes in God, it is a day to give thanks and remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us - all of us. I am not trying to be preachy, just had to get it out.
Speaking of Easter, if your family doesn’t feel like cooking Sunday, I have a place for you. The Chisago House in Taylors Falls has one of the best Easter Buffets you will find. They will be serving two meals depending on the time, they will have a breakfast buffet that will run until 11:30 am and a dinner buffet that will run 11:30am to 5 pm. Both of the buffets are filled with tons of wonderful food all waiting for your family.

You may have seen the coupon on page 2 recently. That is our annual subscription renewal special. If you clip the coupon and fill it out, you will receive $1.50 off a yearly subscription. The Press is still only a dollar but ordering a subscription drops the price even more. For way less than a cup of coffee, you can be reading about the local news, sports, upcoming events and of course my column (if you have insomnia, I am a great cure). Clip them out and send them in.
People, including myself are always blurting out that old cliche “Man am I getting old”. Heck, I have used it in this spot many times. Well get ready her comes another. I was walking on the treadmill last night when on the television comes the all new “Roseanne” show. I had to click on the guide to see if I was reading correctly. Yep, sadly I was. That show was on like 30 years ago and it was awful. Now I have to watch it again? It seems the nature of the entertainment business is bringing back the classics. The classically terrible classics: Power Rangers, The Gong Show, Murphy Brown... apparently we have reached the ends of the Internet.
