North Branch will have Fourth of July fireworks
Not everything has been called-off this summer due to covid.
North Branch is having a fireworks display for the Fourth of July. Thanks to the support from North Branch Fire Relief Association charitable gaming and Jimmy’s Johnnys, the city is able to present fireworks Saturday, July 4, at 10 p.m.
There’s a new launch site and people are being encouraged to maintain social distance viewing the display while keeping vehicles six feet apart. You are asked to stay inside or on top of your vehicle “drive-in style,” according to the city’s news release. In case of inclement weather July 5 is the alternate date.
The launch site has been relocated to the west side of the freeway. Fireworks will go up from a spot between Falcon Ave. and the Shops at Gateway North (outlet mall.) Previously, fireworks launches were from the east side of town-- near the schools campus.
Best locations to view this upcoming Fourth display according to city hall, will be the lot at the former ShopKo building (now Cartful) or the County Market Mall lot or in the Shoppes parking area.
