BPA national recognition earned by Chisago Lakes
Chisago Lakes High School Business Professionals of America club received national recognition this year during virtual online ceremony. The 2020 BPA National Leadership Conference scheduled to be held in Washington, DC was cancelled. Some events were still able to be recognized with an online ceremony. Mady Eng and Ruby Norlander received the BPA highest citizenship recognition award, the National Ambassador Torch Award. Mady and Ruby are four year members of Chisago Lakes High School BPA. Both have competed in many BPA activities, Regional, State and National (Ruby)competitions and held officer positions. They helped the club organize many community events. They earned over 70 points in seven different areas.
The values of BPA are based on Leadership; Service; Cooperation; Knowledge; Friendship; Love, Hope, Faith; and Patriotism.
The Chisago Lakes High School Chapter was also honored with the BPA Cares award for its community service. From mentoring, to serving community meals, veterans flag projects, to helping with Lakeside Red Day there were many reasons for the recognition. This award is to recognize hours of community service club members have donated to the community.

Starling Olson: C++ Programing (1st at State), Linux Operating System (1st at State), Computer Programming Concepts, Information Technology Concepts
Katie Peterson: Human Resources and Medical Concepts
In the top 10 at State:
Caitlyn Abbott and Mady Eng: Presentation Management Team
Lucas Morgan: Advanced Spreadsheet
Ashton Pihl: Digital Media Production and Digital Publishing
