case numbers ramp up
Chisago County is seeing a small spurt in covid-19 prevalence and in the last approximately two weeks there are 29 more people who are counted as covid positives and two more people have died since the first week of July. Chisago County has 54 deaths attributed to the virus.
The Covid-19 vaccine is still available and Chisago County is making it so easy for you to get yours. There are walk-in clinics scheduled for the County Fair, and at County Market in North Branch on the mobile public health bus. Those of you who prefer to make an appointment can call public health and reserve your shot at 651-213-5233, for dates July 27 and August 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. These shots are at the HHS Building. The County Health and Human Services building is in the business park in North Branch.
Readers are also encouraged to get vaccinated at MHealth Fairview, Allina and St Croix Medical Center.
The data show 90 percent of those being hospitalized at this stage have NOT had vaccinations. For citizens who are still in school the shots are given to anyone age 12 and older, with parents on-hand to authorize.
