The ballots will be recounted in the race for County Board District 1.

The recount falls within rules allowing for a public-funded process. County Auditor/Treasurer Bridgitte Konrad said on Monday there would be a recount to take place Wednesday, November 2. The recount is a public process and was set for the Government Center in Center City Room 150B.

The race was for the newly-drawn North Branch commissioner district had 1,882 votes for Tim MacMillan and 1,899 for Jim Swenson.
