One act plays on stage Saturday

Chisago Lakes Area High School Performing Arts Center was the host site for a one-act contest last weekend.
North Branch’s cast and crew brought their one-act entry “The Snow Queen” to the stage. The story is a Scandinavian folk tale. St Francis and Cambridge-Isanti high schools also participated.
Chisago Lakes performed a period classic “The Importance of Being Earnest.” The one act pieces were briefly critiqued in between shows, to help improve aspects of the show. The public is welcome to be in the audience this Saturday, Jan 28. North Branch is scheduled at 3:30 p.m. and Chisago Lakes is on stage beginning at 12:40 p.m. The state tournament is Feb. 9 and 10.
