The medical examiner’s office has released the names of the two men who were found deceased inside of a burned structure March 5.

The owner of the property, located on the south end of North Branch, 56-year-old James Schwalich and 43-year-old Jacob Humphreys were discovered as firefighters arrived, according to North Branch Chief of Police Dan Meyer. Crews from North Branch, Harris and Stacy-Lent were dispatched.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Meyer said.
