Is it triathlon time already? The Chisago County Fair has started
Wannigan Days has come and gone.  What a beautiful weekend for the celebration.  We were able to take in most of the celebration and there were people everywhere.  The parade was packed both with people watching and the number of floats.  It did take quite awhile for the parade to make it across the bridge because the parade started at 6pm in St. Croix Falls and we didn’t see our first float until well after 7pm.  Didn’t matter, it was beautiful out and we enjoyed some great food from the Lions and St Joe’s Catholic Church by the Drive-In.

Lindstrom Council ok's pre-development plan for large tract; HOA on its own
Lindstrom City Council wants to see new housing activity so strongly that it voted unanimously last week to spend an estimated $15,000 on preliminary design and interagency networking on the Old Holt Farm site, near Ki-Chi-Saga County Park. The land between Kroon Lake and South Center Lake, on the east side of Olinda Trail, can be made more attractive to a developer with a master plan and an outline for extending services, help for navigating shoreland district rules, for relocating the intersection of Glader and Olinda and more.  City Administrator John Olinger said the number of projects that need to happen to facilitate housing there scares-off developers and the city needs to get involved, especially in applying for grants.
