| That was the longest year of my life, so glad it's over; time for paper renewals |
 |
I cannot believe it has been a year since our world got turned upside down. I took a minute to read my column from last year. What an idiot. I was convinced this was going to be taken care of medically or the United States would protect the borders thus limiting the influx of infections. Close Matt - real close. Without pointing out what has transpired and what businesses have been crushed by the shut-down (pssst all of us) over the last year, we are now seeing a glimpse of hope. Recently the Governor changed his executive orders and opened the state a little more. Restaurants are now allowed 75 percent indoor capacity, which will help tremendously. Gyms and fitness studios can now operate at 50 percent capacity. Salons and barbers are now open to 100 percent capacity. And churches, weddings funerals are now thankfully open 100 percent. So many people (including myself) have lost loved ones and never had a chance to have a ceremony. I still have yet to say goodbye to my grandmother in Iowa. Friday, March 26, 2021
