All CL skiers have clean runs at state tournament
Chisago Lakes was hoping for some clean runs from their three competitors to see where they’d stand against the state’s elite, and the Wildcats didn’t disappoint on Wednesday, February 13.
Sophie Janzig, in her second state tournament, was the highest finisher for CL. She came in 26th in the girls meet with a time of 1:18.44 Megan Cartier wasn’t far behind, with a 36th place in 1:20.44. The two-second gap, 10 spot difference, shows the razor thin margins at the state meet at Giants Ridge.
Jamie Mower was the only male qualifier from Chisago Lakes, and he came in 31st place with a time of 1:17.68.
“It was a beautiful day and a good, fair race,” Assistant Coach Su Leslie said. “Congrats to all the competitors from Chisago Lakes and all the schools!”
