Chisago Lakes Girls
The Wildcat girls’ soccer team won four games in a row over an eight-day period to improve their season record to 6-5.

Ruby Dircks scored the only goal of the game in the first half as the Wildcats beat the Cambridge-Isanti Bluejackets 1-0 Tuesday, September 21 at Cambridge-Isanti High School.  On Thursday, September 23, Madison Kubalek scored twice, and Cameron Glenna added a goal to lead the Wildcats to a 3-2 win over the Princeton Tigers at Princeton High School.  Glenna, Alyssa Hempel, and Madelyn Anderson each picked up an assist.

The Wildcats weren’t very good hosts when they welcomed Duluth Denfeld to Chisago Lake High School last Saturday.   They matched their biggest offensive output of the year as they crushed the Hunters 5-2.  Madison Kubalek again scored two goals.  Alyssa Hempel, Addyson Barrett, and Madelyn Anderson scored one goal each.  Recording single assists were Katelyn Barnick, Emily Carroll, and Ruby Dircks.  And this past Monday, Barnick scored the game’s only goal in the first half, assisted by Carroll, as the Wildcats shut out the Big Lake Hornets 1-0.

The Wildcats will host the North Branch Vikings (9-2-1) tonight at 7 p.m. at Chisago Lakes High School.  They will head up to Esko on Saturday to take on the Eskomos (8-3-0) at 4 p.m.  And on Monday, October 4 they will head to Zimmerman High School to play the Thunder (6-3-0) at 5 p.m.

Chisago Lakes Boys
The Wildcat boys’ soccer team had its best stretch of the season over the past week.  They won their first game of the year on Tuesday, September 21, shutting out the Cambridge-Isanti Bluejackets 3-0 at home.  Two days later, they lost to a tough Princeton team 3-2 at home.  The Wildcats played their third home game in a row last Saturday, losing 4-0 to Duluth Denfeld.  They bounced back this past Monday, tying Big Lake 3-3 in overtime.

The Wildcats (1-8-1) play at North Branch (3-5-2) tonight at 7 p.m.  Next Monday, October 5, they will head to Zimmerman High School to take on the Thunder (4-4-1) at 7:30 p.m. And yet another Duluth team will visit Lindstrom, with the Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers (3-8-0) coming to town to play the Wildcats on Tuesday, October 5 at 7:30 p.m.  The Wildcat game against Fridley, scheduled for this past Tuesday, was postponed.  No new date has yet been set for that game.

North Branch Boys
Eric Elizarraga-Flor, Drew Detzler and Wyatt Peak each scored to lead the Vikings boys’ soccer team to a 3-1 win over the Becker Bulldogs Monday, September 20 at North Branch High School.  Justin Ramos and Elizarraga-Flor each picked up an assist in the game.  The Vikings were shut out at home 3-0 by the Monticello Magic last Thursday.  On Monday, they traveled to St. Francis and lost 2-0 to the Fighting Saints.

The Vikings (2-5-2) will host the Chisago Lakes Wildcats (1-8-1) tonight at 7 p.m. at North Branch High School.  On Saturday, the Vikings will stay at home to face the Zimmerman Thunder (4-4-1) at 11 a.m.  And On Monday, they will head up to Cloquet to take on the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton Lumberjacks (6-4-2) at 4:45 p.m.
