Wildcats get on a win streak

Chisago Lakes 5, Becker 0
Madison Kubalek scored her second hat trick of the season to lead the Wildcats to a 5-0 shutout win over the Becker Bulldogs Tuesday, September 28 at Becker High School.  The Wildcats scored twice in the first half and added three more goals in the second half.  Katelyn Barnick and Allyssa Hempel each had a goal and an assist for the Wildcats, and Alexandra Bartz and Addyson Barrett each picked up an assist.

Chisago Lakes 2, Esko 1
The Wildcats headed up to Esko to take on the Eskomos last Saturday and were greeted by a pouring rain that started shortly after kickoff and lasted throughout the game.  The game went back and forth throughout a scoreless first half.  In the second half, Esko put the first goal on the board off a corner kick.  But Madison Kubalek scored two unanswered goals for the Wildcats, assisted by Addyson Barrett and Katelyn Barnick, to secure the win.

Chisago Lakes 3, Zimmerman 1
The Wildcats won their eighth game in a row, scoring twice in the second half to break a 1-1 tie and beat the Zimmerman Thunder 3-1 Monday, October 4 at Zimmerman High School.  Midway through the first half, Ruby Dircks sends a ball into the Thunder box.  Maddy Anderson battled for the ball and tapped it in to put the Wildcats up 1-0.  The Thunder responded with an equalizer ten minutes later to make it 1-1 at the half.  The Wildcats came out strong in the second half and didn’t look back.  Katelyn Barnick scored the go-ahead goal off a beautiful cross from Madison Kubalek.  Near the end of the game, Addyson Barrett dropped a perfect corner kick to Alyssa Hempel, who drove the ball into the back of the net with a commanding header to seal the win for the Wildcats.

Soccer Stuff
The surging Wildcats (10-5-0) will finish out the regular season this Saturday at home against the Hibbing Bluejackets at 2 p.m.
