VARIANCES TO ALLOW FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A DETACHED
SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING UNIT IN THE R-l TRADITIONAL
SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Center City Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, January 28, 2018 at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, for a variance request to reduce the fifty foot (50') lakeshore setback from South Center Lake; a variance to exceed the twenty-five percent (25%) lot coverage requirement in the shoreland district; a variance to reduce the required thirty foot (30') bluff setback; a variance to reduce the front yard setback of twenty feet (20'); and a variance to reduce the side yard setback requirement of five feet (5') to allow for the construction of a detached single family dwelling unit in the R-l Traditional Single Family Residential District. The property is located at 680 Grand Avenue South, Center City, MN. The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers at City Hall, at 300 North Center Avenue where all persons may reasonably be heard.
The property is legally described as follows:
Lot 20, Lot 21, and the Northerly 12.50 feet of Lot 22, all in Block 5, F G LORENS ADDITION TO CENTER CITY, CHISAGO COUNTY, MINNESOTA, according to the recorded plat thereof, Chisago County, Minnesota.
TOGETHER with that part of the Vacated Grand Avenue South per Document No. 192973, Chisago County, Minnesota.
A copy of the variance documents, in its entirety, are available at City Hall for review. Any person desiring to comment on this matter is invited to do so in writing (prior to or at the hearing) or orally at the time of the public hearing.
