PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

VARIANCES TO ALLOW FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A DETACHED GARAGE IN THE R-1 TRADITIONAL SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Center City Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 7:00 pm, or as soon thereafter as possible, for a variance to reduce the side yard setback from the required ten feet (10') to one and two tenths feet (1.2'); a variance to exceed the lot coverage requirement in the shoreland district from the required twenty-five percent (25%) to thirty-one and eight tenths (31.8%); a variance to reduce the rear yard setback from the required twenty-five feet (25') to two and two tenths feet (2.2'); a variance to reduce the required ten foot (10') setback between the detached garage and existing building to nine and three tenths feet (9.3'); and a variance to exceed the height requirement of a detached garage from the required fifteen feet (15') to allow for the construction of a detached garage in the R-1 Traditional Single Family Residential District. The property is located at 102 Summit Avenue, Center City, MN. The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers at City Hall, at 300 North Center Avenue where all persons may reasonably be heard.
The property is legally described as follows: Lot 2, Block 3, Kavanagh and Schultz's First Addition to Center City, EXCEPT Parcel 7 of Chisago County Highway Right-of-Way Plat No. 70, Chisago County, Minnesota.
A copy of the variance documents, in its entirety, are available at City Hall for review. Any person desiring to comment on this matter is invited to do so in writing (prior to or at the hearing) or orally at the time of the public hearing.
