CITY OF LINDSTROM - NOTICE TO CANDIDATES FOR
(July 9, 16, 23, 30, 2020)
(Notice of Affidavits of Candidacy)
Notice is hereby given that the City Election shall be held in and for the City of Lindstrom, Chisago County, Minnesota, on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. During this Election, the following City offices shall be filled:
(1) MAYOR – One position, a two (2) year term to commence shall commence on the first Monday in January as set forth by Minn. Stat. § 412.02, subd. 2.
(2) COUNCIL MEMBERS – Two positions at large, each a four (4) year term to commence shall commence on the first Monday in January as set forth by Minn. Stat. § 412.02, subd. 2.
(1) COUNCIL MEMBER – One position, approximately a two (2) year term to commence immediately after the election results are certified to fill a vacancy that has been temporarily filled by appointment pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 412.02, subd. 2a.
Affidavits of Candidacy for the above offices may be filed at Lindstrom City Hall, 13292 Sylvan Avenue, Lindstrom, MN, between July 28 and August 11, 2020. The filing fee is $2.00.
The office of the City Administrator is open for filing from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2020.
