BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT -
NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
(August 13, 2020)
In accordance with the Minnesota Open Meeting Law, the following Public Hearing Notice is provided for the Chisago County Board of Adjustment meeting to be held on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.
Board of Adjustment members will participate in-person at the Chisago County Government Center; or by telephone or other electronic means pursuant to MN Statute 13D. Public Hearing and Public Meeting attendance in-person has been deemed not practical or prudent and unfeasible due to the health pandemic and emergency declaration.
Those wishing to submit public comment as part of the hearing are encouraged to submit written public comment by mail to Chisago County Government Center or email to Land Services Coordinator, Jessica Jagoe at firstname.lastname@example.org by 4 PM on August 27, 2020.
Individuals wishing to observe the meeting or provide public hearing comment during the meeting may do so by telephone or electronic means. To attend the meeting via one of the formats available go to the Chisago County website under Planning Commission at www.chisagocounty.us/ 406/Planning-Commission to obtain access information to join or call 651-213-8379 for further instructions prior to 4 PM of meeting date.
They will also make a tour of the agenda items on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. departing from Public Works at 31325 Oasis Road, Center City, MN. The following are the agenda items of new business:
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT PUBLIC HEARING 7:00 P.M.
Dennis Frandsen – XXX Rush Lake Way, Nessel Township; Sec. 14, T.37, R.22 (PID #06.01172.00) James Ertz, on behalf of Dennis Frandsen, Property Owner, is requesting a variance to build a single-family residential dwelling closer to a County and Township Road than the required setback.
Quintin LeTourneau – 12927 288th Street, Chisago Lake Township; Sec. 9, T.33, R.20, (PID# 02.00069.00) is requesting a variance to build a second detached 60 x 120 pole building and be allowed more than the maximum square footage of accessory storage floor area in the RRI Zoning District.
Jeff and Chayla Starr – 29895 Glader Boulevard, Chisago Lake Township; Sec. 3, T. 33, R. 20, (PID# 02.01748.21) are requesting a variance to exceed the 25% maximum impervious surface coverage as allowed in the RRI Zoning District with Shoreland Overlay.
Mike and Kateri Osbeck – 51360 Berry Avenue, Nessel Township; Sec. 15, T. 37, R. 22, (PID# 06.01065.00) are requesting a variance to build a single-family residential dwelling closer to the road than the required setback; and replace existing septic system with a new system closer to the house and property lines than the required setbacks.
Richard and Bonnie Colleen Kargel – 12150 – 244th Street, Chisago Lake Township; Sec. 32, T. 33. R. 20 (PID# 02.01790.80) are requesting a variance to build an addition onto existing detached accessory building closer to rear property line than the required setback.
Robert and Trena Morrison – 12498 Melody Lane, Chisago Lake Township; Sec. 4, T. 33. R. 20 (PID# 02.01025.00) are requesting a variance to build a detached accessory building closer to the road than the required setback; and taller than the existing dwelling.
