CITY OF LINDSTROM - BOARD OF APPEAL & EQUALIZATION HEARING NOTICE

(April 1, 8, 15, 2021)

TUESDAY, APRIL 20, 2021
6:00 P.M.
13292 Sylvan Avenue, Lindstrom, MN

Notice is hereby given that the Lindstrom City Council will hold the annual Board of Appeal & Equalization Hearing on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., at the Lindstrom City Hall.

The purpose of the meeting is to determine whether taxable property in the City has been properly valued and classified by the assessor, and to determine whether corrections need to be made.  All persons considering themselves aggrieved by said assessment are hereby notified to send a written statement no later than April 16, 2021 explaining why the assessment should be corrected or modified. Submit objections to Lindstrom City Hall, 13292 Sylvan, Lindstrom, MN 55045 or electronically to ContactUs@cityoflindstrom.us  Please include your phone number in case the County Assessor has questions.

Pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 13D.021, subd. 1, members of the public will not be permitted to enter the regular meeting location for the Lindstrom City Council for the annual Board of Appeal & Equalization Hearing. The Mayor and City Administrator have determined that permitting the public to enter the regular meeting location (Lindstrom City Hall) is not prudent because of the health pandemic involving COVID-19. Members of the public can still access and monitor the City Council meeting electronically by livestreaming the meeting via the City’s website here: http://www.cityoflind strom.us/  Some or all of the members of City Council may attend these meetings remotely pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 13D.021, subd. 1.

Generally, a person must submit an appeal for the consideration of the local Board of Appeal & Equalization before an appeal can be taken to the County Board.

By order of the Lindstrom City Council.

John J. Olinger
City Administrator
