CITY OF CHISAGO CITY - BOARD OF APPEAL & EQUALIZATION HEARING

(April 15, 22, 2021)

Notice is hereby given that the City of Chisago City Council will hold the annual Board of Appeal and Equalization Hearing on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 6:00 p.m., at Chisago City Hall.

The purpose of the meeting is to determine whether taxable property in the City has been properly valued and classified by the assessor, and to determine whether corrections need to be made.  All persons considering themselves aggrieved by said assessment are hereby notified to send a written statement no later than April 22, 2021 explaining why the assessment should be corrected or modified.  Submit objection to: Chisago City Hall, 10625 Railroad Ave., PO Box 611, Chisago City, MN 55013 or electronically to jpechman@ci.chisago.mn.us. Please include your phone number in case the County Assessor has questions.

Pursuant to Minn. Stat. §13D.021, subd. 1, members of the public will not be permitted to enter the regular meeting location for the Chisago City Council for the annual Board of Appeal and Equalization Hearing unless an appointment is made by calling 651-257-4162 or by zoom with a valid email address.

The Mayor and City Administrator have determined that permitting the public to enter the regular meeting location (Chisago City Hall) is not prudent because of the health pandemic involving COVID-19.

Members of the public can still access and monitor the City Council meeting electronically by livestreaming the meeting via the City’s Facebook page or local cable channel (20).  Some or all of the members of the City Council may attend these meetings remotely pursuant to Minn. Stat. §13D.021, subd. 1.

ATTEST:
John Pechman
City Administrator
