NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Chisago County Planning Commission will meet on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the County Board Room at the Chisago County Government Center, 313 N. Main Street, Center City, MN. The Chisago County Board of Commissioners will receive the Planning Commission’s recommendations and review applications on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. The Commission’s tour of the agenda items has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 9:00 a.m., departing from Chisago County Public Works at 31325 Oasis Road, Center City, MN. The meetings and tour are open to the public.
The following items will be included on the September 1, 2022 Planning Commission agenda:
Public Hearings – New Applications:
SP Farms LLC – SP Farms LLC, property owner, represented by Sarah Storlie, is requesting approval of the Preliminary Plat of SP Farms Plat One, involving the creation of one lot from a 79.8-acre tract. The property is zoned Agricultural (AG) District and generally located east of Olinda Trail / CSAH 25 and west of Olympic Trail, Franconia Township, S14, T33, R20 (PID# 04.00370.20).
Byron & Judy Dahlheimer – Byron & Judy Dahlheimer, property owners, are requesting approval of the Preliminary Plat of North Dairy, involving the creation of one lot from a 34.7-acre tract. The property is zoned Agricultural (AG) District and located at the northeast corner of Oasis Road / CSAH 9 and Park Trail / CSAH 12, Chisago Lake Township, S26, T34, R20 (PID# 02.00742.00).
Mike & Erica Heinen – Mike & Erica Heinen are seeking an Ordinance Amendment to Zoning Ordinance Section 3. Definitions and Section 5.06 Agricultural (AG) District, B. Permitted Uses and C. Conditional Uses. The proposed Amendment pertains to slaughterhouses and meat processing facilities, with the intent of making said uses allowable within the AG District.
Ordinance Amendment, Chisago County Subdivision Ordinance No. 99-2 – Public comment is sought on Amending Chisago County Subdivision Ordinance No. 99-2 “Subdivision Ordinance” provisions concerning title evidence, opinion, and review. As drafted, current text amendments pertain to but may not be limited to Section 2 Definitions, Section 3.06 Preparing and Filing the Final Plat, and Section 3.07 Review of the Final Plat by adding new definitions, by amending the list of submittal requirements for Final Plat requests, and by amending the ordinance as it relates to the review of title evidence.
