A number of dog-related incidents for the week, both for police and sheriff departments. A call October 20 sent a deputy to an address on Chisago Street in Taylors Falls for a dog-on-dog bite, reported at 4:50 p.m. The aggressor dog will be in quarantine for 10 days at his personal residence to monitor for rabies.  October 18 a boxer type dog was reported to have been harrassing chickens at a Franconia, Amery Avenue address.

Another report of dog aggression with chickens was at an address on Quinlan Avenue, reported Oct. 19 about 5 p.m.  One chicken is missing. Also, October 18 a dog was attacked by another dog at an Eliot Avenue North address in Rush City about 5:15 p.m. The female complainant had a puncture wound and her dog required stitches.

October 20 theft of a new machete reported from an address in Stacy. Item was left on top of a car after doing gardening.

There were a few thefts of items from parked vehicles reported in Lindstrom last week, most on North Lakes Trail. Items taken from vehicles included cash, purse, cellphone charger, e cigarette and a shotgun.  Most losses were reported October 18.  Do not leave valuables unattended in vehicles.

October 19 theft of a Samsung television from storage unit on Stark Road.

Theft from business in Rush City on 4th Street, entry through an unsecured garage door.

October 16 theft of gasoline from vehicles overnight, in the lot of Wayne’s Nursery in Lent Twsp.  Deputies are looking into evidence at the scene.
A car rolled and came to rest upright,  and was reported to the Taylors Falls sheriff patrol about 8:20 p.m.  The crash was at First and West Streets in Taylors Falls. Upon seeing the deputy the car driver reportedly tried to drive-off and was uncooperative.  She was eventually booked on suspicion of drunk driving.

A trailer was reported stolen from an address on 335th in Lent Township.  No description available.

October 15 Lindstrom firefighters went out with the rescue boat to investigate a report of somebody yelling for help on the Lake close to the Lakelawn neighborhood, about 7 p.m.  The incident turned out to be a boater out of gas, and he apparently got a tow-- because when rescue got there the boat needing assistance was gone. No I.D. on the original boater in distress was available.
