January 3 a vehicle hit and snapped a power pole in Fish Lake Township, near Rush Point Drive West and electric service was impacted. ECE was alerted and handled the repairs. Call came in about 3 p.m. Vehicle operator said she swerved to avoid a deer.
January 2 fire report at residence in Lindstrom, on Andrews Avenue. Call came in about 7:30 p.m. and Lindstrom Fire was sent along with Lakes Area Police. Fire was contained to the chimney area.
Theft reported to county. Item is a homemade trailer, welded metal and was used to transport fish house. Theft from Lyman Lane, Chisago Lake Township.
Wyoming and sheriff’s deputies arrested two suspects on suspicion of passing counterfeit currency, call came in about 4 a.m. The suspects fled and Lakes Area officers assisted in arresting one with a Wisconsin warrant and one for stolen vehicle.
On-street overnight parking violations continue. The area cities do not allow vehicles to be parked overnight on streets in town, check with your local authorities if you need to use on-street space. Ticketing for leaving vehicles on the street overnight will continue until April.
December 30 theft of mail from box on Itasca Ave. rural Chisago City. Check in the mail was cashed fraudulently.
Rush Lake stop and check located fishermen without valid license in possession.
Burglary in progress call about 11:20 p.m. at an address on 287th in Chisago City-Wyoming area. K9 unit assisted and two suspects were arrested by Wyoming and Lakes Area Police.
A disturbance at an address on Redwing Avenue reported about 4 p.m. Deputies found multiple persons in apartment and arrested two, one for warrant and one for obstruction.
Brakes reportedly malfunctioned as one car went through the intersection at Forest Blvd. and 32th Street, hitting a car northbound on #30. No injury reported.
Gas leak in furnace system reported at address in Lindstrom. Xcel had been notified and Lindstrom fire and police also were dispatched.
A snowmobile and Jeep collided on County Road 10 in Harris. Preliminary details are that the snowmobile throttle stuck and operator was tossed, as the sled went onto the county road it hit the vehicle. Accident happened about 5:15 p.m.
