Law Enforcement

If you have property in the vicinity of Sunrise Road and Government Road— and have noticed recent property damage from an ATV, the sheriff’s office has a suspect believed to have been behind an evening (Dec. 9-10) of joy-riding on people’s fields and yards.  The  investigators would like to hear from you about claims resulting from illegal operation of off-road vehicle.

A male was reported found unresponsive December 10 at an address on 310th Street in the morning.  Law enforcement and First Responders could not revive the subject.

Multiple crashes responded to by sheriff and police personnel during the poor road conditions of ice and snow. No serious injury but cars slid into ditches, off the freeway and one hit a breakaway fire hydrant in Rush City.

Chisago Lakes High School staff reported to Lakes Area Police a possible possession of THC. Student was found with four cartridges.

A property damage-only crash at Lincoln Trail and Hwy. 8 in Lindstrom. Car heading south stopped at light and was hit from behind by a second southbound car that was unable to stop, according to preliminary report.  Incident happened about 5:13 p.m.

Multiple possible mail theft incidents  at residences in the Parmly-Point Pleasant area.  Lakes Area Police were notified of 55 mailboxes and/or physical addresses potentially affected by the tampering.
