June 20 A large gathering of people at an address in Lent Twsp. on Kale Avenue was reported to authorities about 10:15 p.m. Property owner was spoken to by authorities.

Sunday, June 14 a motorcycle approaching County Road 12 on Hwy. 95, eastbound, locked its brakes and laid down about noon when the motorcycle driver told authorties an SUV was entering the highway from a stop sign, and didn’t appear to have seen the bike.  A woman who was a passenger was taken to the hosputal with what was reportedly a broken leg.

May 24 a lawnmower mishap reported in Nessel Township about 5 p.m.  The victim was mowing and drove the mower off the edge of a steep decline, and the mower landed on top of the driver’s legs.  The authorities got the mower off and found that the air ambulance would not be required. The subject was taken by ground transport to a nearby medical facility.

May 17 a report of a gunshot heard at the Kwik Trip gas and convenience store, North Branch, near Grand Avenue and Hwy. 95, about 5 p.m.  A 17-year-old with a Little Canada, MN address has been arrested for second degree assault.  According to North Branch Police there were a total of three suspects, a 15-year old female was in a vehicle with the 17 year old Little Canada male and a third suspect, male, 17 was on foot.  Chief Dan Meyer said the case in under active investigation and some details need to be kept quiet.   Sheriff’s deputies and Wyoming Police helped to apprehend the suspects that were alleged to have fled in a small truck.  A handgun was recovered, Chief Meyer added.

Monday, May 11 a fire was reported on West Fourth St. in Rush City.  The vacant building was a loss, according to a county sheriff’s press release.  Firefighters with Rush City, North Branch and Pine City were on scene, starting about 3 p.m.  The state fire marshal has an investigator working to determine a cause.
