Lakes Area Police were seeing a heightened awareness and concern about healthcare worker safety, probably in light of the recent shooting and explosives at the Allina Clinic in Buffalo.  Calls were received about a belligerent disruptive patient at a Lindstrom clinic and officers were dispatched. The individual was gone when they arrived. Also, officers escorted late night healthcare staff to their vehicles Feb. 11.

Remember when clearing snow— not to shove snow across the road where your driveway ends...it leaves piles on either side of the plow where snow spills and this hardens and creates a traffic hazard.  Law enforcement is noticing this activity and making an effort to educate people.  Also, street overnight parking bans remain in force until April.  If you have no option but to park on a city street contact your local department for a special exemption.
