Law Enforcement
Law enforcement across the county responded to dozens of fireworks complaint calls.  The incidents were mostly handled by halting illegal displays amicably and/or giving out warnings. A couple incidents resulted in tickets.  Some of the fireworks were shot off from pontoon boats in the middle of a lake, and it was impossible to identify those responsible.

Law Enforcement
June 26 the Lakes Area Police were made aware of counterfeit money turninng up in the area, MidWestOne Bank and Warehouse Liquors had fake bills and a $100 bill found in a Lindstrom parking lot was reported to be counterfeit.

Saturday, June 22 a vehicle was reported on fire at Wildwood Campgrounds on the east side of Taylors Falls. Call came in about 9:55 p.m.  Taylors Falls firefighters handled. Cause is not known.

Law Enforcement
June 10 a report of a pitbull breed dog that bit someone on the calf, walking on the road, about 11 a.m. on Foxhill Avenue in Lent Township. Upon investigation, the dog was deemed dangerous and the owner was directed to keep it in quarantine until a rabies 10 day hold could expire.

Law Enforcement
June 3 an intoxicated male pedestrian reportedly got into a confrontation with a driver of a car on Center Street in Taylors Falls about 7:18 p.m. Sheriff patrol deputy arrested the male who’d been walking causing traffic problems in the street.

Law Enforcement
The sheriff’s office looked into two incidents-- one was June 2 and the other May 31---involving dogs killing chickens.  One incident was at a location on Oriole Avenue, Sunrise and one in Fish Lake Township on Cambridge Drive.  The matters are under investigation.
