Winter overnight No Parking rules in effect
In urban areas the winter overnight on-street parking restrictions are in effect from now until April.  No parking overnight is needed in order to keep streets clear for large plow trucks and efficient road clearing. If you have a need to put a vehicle on the street or have guests temporarily please contact your local police department and see if special permission is available  short term.  In North Branch there are city-operated parking lots that require a permit, call city hall.

Busy week for local FD's
It was a busy week for our fire departments.  Above left: Lindstrom, Center City, and Shafer Fire Deparments responded to a Lindstrom garage fire that was thankfully kept to just the garage. Above right: Lightning struck a home on North Center Lake early Friday morning.  Mike and Patty Burke’s cabin was rocked by a lightning strive on their giant maple tree that carried under their deck and into their dining room.  All electronics in their home were destroyed as was the majority of their wiring.
