Sheriff and local police patrols were kept busy last week with weather-releated vehicle incidents. Over 100 reports between the police and county call lists....a snowmobile DUI arrest was made based on a tip, property damages such as fencing and poles reported, but no serious injury in any calls. The county public safety center and comm center site, in Center City, was put onto generator-provided power during the high demand for heating capacity last week. The facility is constructed under a plan that the site can go -off-line as part of a special rates program. County Administrator Bruce Messelt said the generator fuel presented some issues in the sub-zero conditions, but it all worked out eventually. Thursday, February 7, 2019

High school incident investigated Authoities looked into an alleged threat overheard in a Chisago Lakes bathroom and reported about 9:30 p.m. January 17. The caller said other students who he did not know, said they were going to “shoot up the school.” Details were not overheard. Thursday, January 24, 2019

The sheriff’s patrol was sent to the scene of a one car rollover at Falcon Avenue and Stark Road January 8 a little after midnight. A woman driver was extricated by Harris firefighters and Lakes Region EMS provided medical care. She admitted in the preliminary report to being on the phone, when she went off the road.
