Booked & Sheriff | Both Lakes Area officers and the sheriff’s office handled lots of vehicle crashes and minor injury incidents due to trying to drive in the bad weather last week ...one hit and run involved damage March 11 to the Joint Sewage Treatment Commission gate and sign on Lofton north of Chisago City. Enforcement | Lakes Area Police were asked to check into a trailer that was discovered on the property at Family Pathways in Chisago City. The item is blue, described as an “EZ” loader 20 feet in length, it has no serial number or license. If you have information the police could use to find the lawful owner please call 257-0622. Enforcement | Reports of open water on South Center Lake were looked into for possible man made causes. The joint sewer commission heard at its meeting this week there is no leak in the wastewater piping system on the lakebed. The cause of the open water site is believed to be a small spring in the area. Monday, March 6, 2023
