Kenneth Moore

Kenneth Brock Moore, age 65, of Taylors Falls, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at his home with family around him.

Ken was born July 10, 1952, in Waterloo, IA, the son of George and Rosemary Moore. He was a proud Eagle Scout. He served in the U.S. Air Force after graduating high school. Ken worked in the home building and structural building components industries for many years. He owned a business consultancy company in the years just prior to his retirement. Ken enjoyed coaching many youth sports during his years in Colorado and Wisconsin. He served as Treasurer for the Falls Chamber of Commerce for a time and was a past member of the Economic Development Commission for the City of Taylors Falls.  Ken had a great love of travel and photographed his many adventures. He especially enjoyed beautiful beaches, the ocean, scuba diving and snorkeling. Ken took much pleasure in music. He was a bugler in the U.S. Air Force, and played the guitar and keyboards. He was a multitalented craftsman and accomplished whatever he set his mind on doing.

Above all, Ken was a caring father and husband. He loved his family deeply and will be dearly missed.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter, Elizabeth.

He is survived by wife Julie; sons Matthew (Jennifer) Moore of Marietta, GA and Michael Moore of Forest Lake, MN;  daughter Emily Moore (Alex Twaroski) of Wausau, WI; four grandchildren, Rowan, Sloane, Sebastian and Olivia; stepchildren Joan, Charles and Katherine Hansen; sister Janet (Kenneth) Hoover, brothers Richard (Kathleen) Moore and David Moore; other family and relatives.

Special thanks to Fairview Lakes Hospice staff for their helpful guidance and care.

A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
