Larry Lee Lindahl, lifetime resident of Lindstrom, Minnesota passed away Friday, July 19, 2019 in his sleep.
Larry was born October 12, 1942 in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin to Alexis and Ruth Lindahl. He graduated from Chi-Hi School in Lindstrom in 1960. He was a lifelong member of Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City, Minnesota.
Larry will be most remembered for his love of farming. While growing up he worked for local farmers and saved up to buy his own farm in 1965. In a few years he bought the adjoining farm and Ju-Lar Holsteins was born. He was active in the dairy industry participating on creamery boards.
On June 7, 1969 he married Judy Mattson of Almelund, Minnesota. Together they raised their three children on the dairy farm and as a family they were active in the 4-H program and in church. Many summers were spent as a family preparing animals to show at the county and state fair.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Stuart who was killed in the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Judy; sons Dan (Jeri) and Kevin (Tara); daughter Amy (Gary); grandchildren Ethan, Alexa, Dylan, Madelin, Isabelle, Isaac, Jacob, Ruby, Julia, Grace; twin sister Mary (Ron) Becklund; and many other relatives and friends.
Larry enjoyed driving his Massey Ferguson tractors, watching the Twins and the Vikings, and watching his cattle and crops grow.
Memorial Services 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City, Minnesota. Visitation one hour prior to the service at church and open house from 3-5 p.m. at church.
