Frederick Rossi Buck, 73, of Rock Creek, Minnesota, passed away on February 28, 2020 after a brief battle with cancer. Fred was born on June 26, 1946 and raised in Fairmont, Minnesota.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping and was an avid gardener known for his green thumb. He was a gunslinger and cowboy at heart. Through the years, Fred enjoyed trapshooting and participated in leagues with his friends and family. He also participated in cowboy action shooting, donning full old-west regalia and going by the moniker “Pukwana” Buck.
Sharp-dressed and always punctual, he could often be found on the sidelines or in the stands. Fred took immense pride in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loved to cheer them on and support them in their various endeavors and activities.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Pauline Buck. He is survived by sisters Barb, Nancy (Gregg) and Mary (Mike), his children Scott (Brenda), Julie (Jeremiah) and Steven (Ashley) and their families, along with many friends and loved ones.
An open-house memorial is planned for March 22, 2020 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the American Legion in Forest Lake, Minnesota.
