Amy Marie Rostad, age 55, died August 4, 2021, surrounded by family at the University of Colorado hospital after a three and a half year fight with cancer. She battled with the same tenacity, courage, and grace she brought to her daily life. She was a beautiful and magnanimous soul who loved people. Amy was a beloved mother, sister, aunt and "Mimi." Born on October 30, 1965 in St Paul, MN, to Harold and Virginia Pierce. She was the youngest of six children.
Amy graduated Blaine High School in 1984. For over 10 years, she ran a daycare out of her home in Chisago City, before starting a career in real estate. She was one of the top real estate agents in the Twin Cities area since 2006. She loved helping her clients find the perfect home, especially first time buyers. She served on the Minnesota Association of Realtors Professional Standards and Ethics Board for the last five years.
She loved to travel with friends and family, particularly to Florida and Mexico to soak in the sun. She cherished her annual sister trips, traveling to Colorado to visit her two grandchildren, as well as spending time in Pine River at the family cabin. She enjoyed going to wineries, kickboxing, dancing, live music and chai tea.
