Jean Nelsen

Jean Jacqueline Nelsen, age 88, of Taylors Falls, Minnesota passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 2, 2022 surrounded by family, at Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming.

Jackie was born on March 20, 1933 to parents Wilford and Dorothy Anderson in Nampa, Idaho.

Jackie went to grade school in Laramie, Wyoming, and attended High School in Casper, Wyoming, MN.

In 1963 Jackie married Harold Brink Nelsen and moved to the farm north of Lindstrom with their three children Debra, Mike and Pat. In 1986 they sold the dairy cows, and spent many winters together in Masa, AZ. where they made many new friends.

Since Harold’s death, she has resided in Taylors Falls in a senior living community, Cedar Grove Estates.

Jackie loved reading mysteries, a good conversation, tending to her plants, restoring wood furniture, shopping for antiques and her dog Buddy.  Jackie also enjoyed volunteering at Fairview Lakes Cancer Center in Wyoming.   Jackie was a good mom and a wonderful woman who will be missed dearly.

Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, Wilford and Dorothy Anderson; her husband Harold, her brother Don (Armetta) Anderson; sister-in-law Helen Drilling, brother in law Doug Drilling and brother-in-law Robert Nelsen.

Jackie is survived by her children, Debbie (Darrell) Johnson, Mike (Deb) and Pat (Wendy); four grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister in law, Jo Nelsen and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
