Dorothy was born to Charles and Lillian Brasser of Minneapolis, on August 11, 1930.
Growing up, she was involved in singing groups as well as young people’s groups from her church. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1948. Dorothy married Winfred Tollberg on March 29, 1952. She was his loving and supportive wife throughout 57 years of marriage, as well as a kindhearted, devoted mother. She was adored by her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Her greatgrandchildren brought a smile to her face. Dorothy lived a life full of faith that has been passed on from generation to generation.
Dorothy is survived by her seven children: Dick (Diane) Tollberg, Cary, IL, Sandy (Randy) Ahlberg, Ham Lake, MN, Judy Tollberg, Buffalo Grove, IL, David (Patsy) Tollberg, North Branch, MN, Becky Tollberg, Lindstrom, MN, Brian (Lori) Tollberg, North Branch, MN, and Annette (Bruce) Knudsen, Cottage Grove, MN. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, eight spouses of grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Tollberg, her parents, Charles and Lillian Brasser, and infant brother Wayne Brasser.
Funeral Service 11 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2016 at Lakes Free Church in Lindstrom, MN. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Lakes Free Church. Private burial at Kost Cemetery, Kost, MN.
