She was born in Mitchell, SD to Joseph and M. LaVawn Lacher. Mary attended high school in Blue Earth, MN and then attended St. Cloud School of Nursing. She married the love of her life, Wayne Johnson, on February 4, 1967.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Sherwin Johnson. Mary is survived by her loving husband Wayne; children Chris (Angie), Kelly (Jake) Ford and Aaron; grandchildren Zach, Andrew, Morgan, Lauren, Evan and Hannah; brothers Mike, John, Dan and Doug Lacher and nieces and nephews.
Mary retired from Hazelden after 32 years as an RN. She enjoyed gardening, baking, playing cards and games. She enjoyed spending time with her friends but most of all she loved being with her family and beloved grandchildren. She will be most remembered for her ability to find the good in everyone and making friends wherever she went. She will be missed dearly.

Memorial Service 11 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lindstrom. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers please direct memorials to ACS (Hope Lodge), 411 2nd St NW, Rochester, MN 55901. Arrangements by the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom.
