Judy A. Backus of Lindstrom died unexpectedly on April 15 at the age of 53.

Judy was born June 25, 1962 in St. Paul to Earl and Jeanette Backhause.  She graduated from St. Paul Como High School in 1980 and Concordia University in St. Paul with a degree in elementary education.  She has taught fourth Grade in the North Branch District for over 20 years.  In her free time she enjoyed gardening, rescuing animals and her real passion was her school children and fellow teachers.

Judy was preceded in death by her father Earl and brother Dave.  She is survived by her son Zackary,  mother Jeanette Backhause, brothers Kevin and Mike (Susie) Backus.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life Celebration from 4 to 7 PM  Wednesday, April 20 at the Grandstrand Funeral Home, in North Branch.  www.grandstrandfh.com
