CITY OF LINDSTROM, CHISAGO COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA - NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Lindstrom (the "City"), Chisago County, State of Minnesota, will hold a public hearing on September 17, 2020 beginning at approximately 7:00 p.m., at the City Council Chambers located at 13292 Sylvan Avenue, City of Lindstrom, Minnesota, relating to the City’s proposed adoption of a Modification to the Development Program for Development District No. 1 (the “Development District”), the establishment of Tax Increment Financing District No. 1-9 (a Housing tax increment financing district) (the “TIF District”) within the Development District, and the proposed adoption of a Tax Increment Financing Plan (the "TIF Plan") therefor (collectively, the “Modification and Plan”), pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, 469.124 to 469.133 and Sections 469.174 to 469.1799, all inclusive, as amended. Copies of the Modification and Plan are on file and available for public inspection at the office of the Economic Development Coordinator at City Hall.
The property to be included in the TIF District is located within the Development District and the City. A map of the Development District and the TIF District therein is set forth below. Subject to certain limitations, tax increment from the TIF District may be spent on eligible uses within the boundaries of the Development District.

PLEASE NOTE, Pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 13D.021, subd. 1, members of the public will not be permitted to enter the regular meeting location for this Public Hearing. The City Administrator and Mayor have determined that permitting the public to enter the regular meeting location (Lindstrom City Hall) is not prudent because of the health pandemic involving COVID-19. Members of the public can still access and monitor the Public Hearing electronically by livestreaming the meeting via the City’s website here: www.cityoflindstrom.us.
Interested parties are encouraged to attend remotely. Members of the public will be able to provide public comment to the Public Hearing remotely. In order to comment orally, members of the public are encouraged to see the City’s website for meeting information or call 651-325-6071. Written comments may be emailed to [email protected] or may be sent via mail to Lindstrom City Hall (13292 Sylvan Ave, Lindstrom, MN 55045). Comments received prior to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9 will be included in the meeting packet materials, while those received after will be shared at the meeting. Both oral and written testimony will be considered at the time of the hearing. Copies of the application materials are available for viewing online.
