Chisago Lakes had three of the top four individual finishers in the Boys Mississippi 8 Conference golf meet at Monticello Country Club on Monday, April 22, but that still wasn’t enough to win the meet outright.
Last Saturday, April 20, the Wildcats headed down to Caswell Park in North Mankato, site of their second-place finish at the state tournament last year, to play in the Mankato West Scarlet Invitational. Mankato West won two games in the tournament, giving head coach Don Krusemark his 500th career victory.

The Wildcats opened their 2024 season with a clunker, losing 12-2 to the Monticello Magic in a game shortened to five innings because of the ten-run rule. Wildcat pitchers allowed just seven hits, but walked ten, allowing the Magic to score multiple runs in the second, third and fourth innings. …
