Laurel (Larry) W. Dale peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024 in North Branch, MN.

Larry was born May 18, 1933 in Shafer Township, MN to John O. and Junette M. Dale and raised on their local farm. He graduated from Taylors Falls High School and then attended the University of Minnesota. During college he spent his summers working as a seasonal Ranger for the National Park Service in Glacier National Park, Montana. His love for the outdoors led him to a permanent Ranger position at the Park. He spent the next 32 years working in and enjoying some of the most beautiful places in the country, but Glacier remained his favorite. He retired in Arizona and later moved back to Montana with his second wife, Sharon to her hometown of Nye. She passed away from a long illness in 2020, and wanting to be closer to family, his children helped him move back to Minnesota. Larry was an avid bowler joining leagues in every place he lived. He also loved gardening, horseshoes, and a good game of cards.

Larry is preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his four children, Jill; his second wife Sharon; his loving daughter Laurie Jayne; his older brother Cecil; his twin brother Jerry; and his parents John and Junette. He is survived by his sister Junette (Junie) Dale of North Branch, MN; his oldest son Bradley and wife Susan of Nashville, TN; his son Jonathan and wife Sylvia of Richardson, TX; and his youngest daughter Elizabeth and husband Tyler McGlasson of Fort Worth, TX. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at Kahbakong Cemetery in Taylors Falls.
