Loon nesting platforms a local project

North Center Lake is loon-friendly and about a dozen volunteers demonstrated they wish to keep it that way, as they took time out of their weekend to construct loon nesting platforms. The structures will be deployed in choice spots where habitat supports the Minnesota State Bird.

Lions collect over 1,000 pounds of food
