Every year the Taylors Falls Elementary staff provides a way to give to those in our area who are less fortunate, by providing a giving tree in the lobby of the school.

This year the giving tree was donated by Steve and Betsy Sandgren. It was organized, set up in the lobby and decorated by committee members Betty Hopkins, Kathy Stephanson, Leah Steffen, Mike Moberg and John Romportl.

Boxes were placed under the tree for collecting winter clothing, toys, books, games, crayons, school supplies and nonperishable food items.

Every year, the parents and children of Taylors Falls Elementary do an outstanding job of collecting items and this year is no exception.

The items are given to Family Pathways and are then distributed to local families in the area who have a need. Laurie Nelson from Lindstrom Family Pathways collects and helps to distribute the items.

The Taylors Falls staff extends its gratitude to parents and their children for their generous donations this year. Many more people will truly have a joyous holiday season due to their efforts.
