September 13 Sheriff patrol was dispatched to a “t-bone” crash near South Fairfield and West Fourth Street in Rush City, about 11:20 a.m. Minor injuries reported, the preliminary investigation is going to be sent to the county attorney for possible charges.

August 4 There was a fire inside of a camper at Rushmore Campground in Nessel Township, called in about 6:30 p.m. A deputy went inside, turned off the fuel to the stove, grabbed the cat and Braham Fire Department arrived. Two occupants were checked for smoke inhalation.

Trial set for fatal Nessel crash
A hearing scheduled related to the case of a Nessel Township crash that killed a 4-year-old boy was called off this month. The trial date is now set for August 25 for Ashlee Klapperick, 36, of Mora.
Shafer bust; charges filed on five suspects

The Rush City Fire Department was sent to Kwik Trip in Rush City about 6:45 p.m. for a recreational vehicle with its engine on fire. Store staff and Rush City firefighters extinguished the fire and towed the RV away from the gas pumps. No injury reported.
